Test Terms of Reference
|
An outline terms of reference for conducting a test of recovery to a standby site for a given business function and its' critical systems. Given a list of critical functions determined by the business, the test aims to prove that those critical functions can be carried out within the required time scales. A copy of these Terms of Reference will be provided to all participants in the test and will contain a list of those systems/functions which are both included in the test and excluded from it. Each test should have its own Terms Of Reference.

Cascade/Call Tree Test Description
|
In order to ensure that all staff are aware of the existence of the Emergency Cascade procedures and that they understand their role within them, the process should be tested regularly. This document lays out the basis for testing the call tree. The call tree (or cascade) is a hierarchy of communication that ensures all staff are alerted to an emergency by a designated member of staff. As part of that alerting process they may then have a number of predefined contacts of their own, who they are then obliged to call as their part of the 'call-tree'.
